Milling that grows with the part.

Some parts are long, some complex, some both. DFP Pott GmbH mills with travels up to 3,000 mm and workpiece weights up to 2,500 kg. Programming is AI-assisted, directly at the machine. From single part to batch, milled to drawing, documented and measured on request.

  • 3.000 mm

travel, workpieces up to 2,500 kg

  • 200 Werkzeuge

    magazine positions, short changeover paths

  • 30 Paletten

pallet changer: the next workpiece is set up while the current one runs

  • KI-gestützt

    programming directly at the control

Programmed at the machine, set up for batches

Programming is AI-assisted, directly at the control. That shortens the path from drawing to first cut, especially for single parts and spare parts. A tool magazine with 200 positions keeps the tools for many jobs ready, and a pallet changer with 30 pallets sets up the next workpiece while the current one runs. For complex geometries, DFP Pott GmbH also machines in 5-axis simultaneous mode: free-form surfaces, angles, and undercuts in a single setup.

Large workpieces, long travel

Not every part fits in a standard machining center. DFP Pott GmbH mills with travels up to 3,000 × 800 × 720 mm and workpiece weights up to 2,500 kg. The B-axis reaches angled surfaces and bores without reclamping, and 70 bar through-spindle coolant enables deep hole drilling, for example. Beams, frames, long housings, and base plates are machined in a single setup, programmed AI-assisted directly at the machine.

From prototype to batch

Whether single part, pre-series, or ongoing series: DFP Pott GmbH mills to drawing, STEP file, or a sample part. One example: a gear as a spare part, made from a sample, with gearing and keyway in a single setup. Metals, non-ferrous metals, and engineering plastics. What comes out of the milling center moves on to grinding and inspection without changing shops; the tolerance chain stays closed.

Documented, measured on request

Every milled part is documented and fully measured on request. A 3D coordinate measuring machine with an 800 × 1,500 × 700 mm measuring range checks geometry and position against the drawing. On request, you receive a First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) and dimensional report, audit-ready to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015.

A STEP file and drawing, or a sample part: that is enough to start. DFP Pott GmbH checks feasibility and lead time and responds with a binding estimate.

DFP Pott GmbH mills with travels up to 3,000 × 800 × 720 mm and workpiece weights up to 2,500 kg. Beams, frames, long housings, and base plates too large for standard machining centers are machined in a single setup. For different dimensions, DFP Pott GmbH checks feasibility against your drawing.

Yes. DFP Pott GmbH machines complex geometries in 5-axis simultaneous machining. Free-form surfaces, angles, and undercuts are created in a single setup, which reduces reference errors and keeps the tolerance chain closed. Suited for parts with tightly toleranced surface position.
